Dyno numbers

Just thought I'd share the dyno numbers I got yesterday with our Ty. These numbers were with ~16psi of boost and spraying a fair amount of meth(heet) on 93 octane gas. I'm also using UR6s gapped at 30 and running ~19 degrees of timing.

Here's a link to the graph: http://208.56.201.106/images/dyno.jpg

In case the link doesn't work, the numbers were 357rwhp and 562lb/ft torque.

Mods are:

Comp 422 cam
L35s w/ 1.5 rockers
stock turbo w/ Minigate
stock intercooler and injectors
Razor's alky kit

The Ty ran 12.92 @ 105.5 on 13psi of boost, no alky and 15 degrees of timing. Hopefully, she'll stay together long enough to get some better times in October.

Re: Dyno numbers

Not too shabby. Those are some healthy numbers for 16 psi. I think when you come up to ISD, you should wind that sucker up to 18 or 20 psi, just dump in a little 110:D

If I can get some better boost control, I have no problem throwing 25psi at it. It is our final race of the year, after all...

awesome times, that 422 must really help, sticking to normal gas now with alky then? I owe you a t-bolt clamp next time i see ya. good luck

I don't think those number bad at all with only a cam and l35's.

I don't think you should try 25psi on the stock turbo as it will be way out of effecienty range...i wouuldn't go above 22, just not worth it.

i love the torque numbers above 400lbs between 2700-4400 rpm

You would be surprised what the Alky can due with the effecienty range of the stock turbo.

I think it'll do okay with 93 and alky. All I need is something better than a 12.47, so that shouldn't be too hard ;)

The dyno guy guessed it would have ~260 at the wheels, so he was fairly surprised. He was even laughing at the size of the stock turbo before the pulls :)

25psi was a bit of an exaggeration. I don't think my ignition will handle 25psi and alky.

Gap the plugs to 28 to help with the igniton. I'm still using the stock ignition on both trucks.:D

Are you running 25psi with the 63 and stock ignition? Are you still using UR6s?

Yes...23-24 psi.

Try to use one of those nice gapping tools, not the coin type. I borrowed one from another member.
The stock turbo runs out of breath at around 19psi. So 25psi should not be a problem with the alky. Are you using Razor's Alky kit?

Where can one purchase one of those? I've been looking for one at a good price for a while now.

I'm using Razor's kit and am really happy with it. If I can tame my boost control, I'll give it more than 20psi.

How much timing are you running with the 23-24psi?

YES! That thing is cool cause it keeps the entire lead of the plug flat while it gaps it.so the spark is even and solid.Which makes it harder to blow out under higher boost.:2cents:
