Went to Advance Auto this morning to order a new (remanufactured) ECM and they need the GM part number off mine. I looked at mine and the numbers are faded and cannot be read. I looked for a little while on the forum but could not find.
Advance Auto had them from $55 to $109. Different companies with different part numbers but none in stock and on line they were out of stock also. They told me they could order me one and get it in two or three days.
If someone knows the part number, that would really help me out. My truck has not been running right for a while and Big Mike on this forum came up saturday and helped me work on it. He brought up a spare ecm. We reinstalled my stock injectors and IAC and still would not run right. After changing the ecm, it ran ok, but still have a few issues to address.
Mike gave me a list of all the things I need to buy so I can switch over to Code 59. Hopefully with all his knowledge, I will finally get my truck running right this summer. He suggested also to think about going to 60lb injectors. As long as he is willing to help me, I'm gonna go for it. My goal is to get it to run an 11 sec time slip at least once. It ran a 12.90 with just the twelve second recipe and ultimate on 18lbs the first run I ever ran with it at the track.
