Where do I find the best way to take the motor out and back again in my TY? I HAVE tried the search button, but nothing came up.
Thanx

How bout it?
You just start draining fluids and removing bolts. A R&R manual would be of great help along with a SyTy supplement manual.

Sorry Berra for the rude way some Sy/Ty ppl behave. But they don't really know if you are a freshman to Sy/Ty or if you have some skills. Sense we talked before i know you better.

I know you blow the engine running a little to much boost so i assume you are going with a full rebuild.

1. Leave the tranny in the truck, with the TC
2. It's easyer if you remove the radiator support, but it's not nessesary.
3. Leave the P/S pump and A/C comp in the truck without disconnecting the lines (except if you remove the rad-support, A/C lines)
4. I even left the oilfilter adapter and lines in my truck
5. It's easyer if you remove upper intake plenum and dist.
6. If you want to you can leave the turbo on the engine
7. You can also leave the downpipe in the truck

All i can think of right now, have fun my friend.

Yeap Swede.
I blew the engine but I killed the Cayenne. It was worth every cent.
I asked the question about the swap because I have never done an
engine swap with a Ty. They are indeed very special.
Thanx for your help

justa6 is correct, i am doing mine right now and everything he said is what i did, except i took out the rad support, and i took the turbo off before hand too. but htat was to check that the turbo was not the culprit 8)
anyway good luck and prepare to face that screw on the firewall when getting at the top left trans bolt, if you have a dremmel cut it off!

race or get outta the way
why do i read so often that people think they need to remove the radiator support to do a motor swap in these trucks... done motor in and out 2x now and i just dont understand why anyone felt they need to do this extra step.
