Hey guys Im selling my Typhoon, Ive owned it for 10+ years its time to build something else. Here are the specs.. If you are local and want to see it in action, I will be putting a pounding on a mustang fri night from the "sleep dork crew" with the slowest ride in my garage.

'92 Black best et so far 11.50 best mph 129 @ 5800 feel elevation Bandimere Speedway..easy 10s at sea level!!! Ets and MPH were obtained with 150 hp N20.

V8 power still AWD... Engine and tranny have less than 1000 miles!!

I will vouch for this Ty, it is super clean..Rod knows his shit when it comes to building motors and I considered selling my Ty for this one....I have a vid of the last 11.7 run it did at all Pepsi day this last season I will get up today for you guys............

Does 150hp of N2O mess up an engine...? I heard it will smoke pistons/rings and crack headers...?

Guy run 150 Shot of N2O on stock 350 all day long with cast piston and stock rods. From the description above, the engine has all built parts. Yeah NOS it will run the ring & pistons if its running lean, but that is true of any poorly tuned motor.

Guy run 150 Shot of N2O on stock 350 all day long with cast piston and stock rods. From the description above, the engine has all built parts. Yeah NOS it will run the ring & pistons if its running lean, but that is true of any poorly tuned motor.

So from the description it looks like it could handel it? Does this guy know what hes doing when building a motor...? From the looks of it hes no newbie to fast cars/trucks...

OK Guys.. A few reasons Im selling. Ive had the truck for many years...It has been VERY fun owning an AWD vehicle for the street. Its time to make a change and more than likely I will use the money to buy my Dad a ZR1 corvette. If I dont sell no big deal we will run it in king street at Bandimere next season...and punk out some 'ol boys on the street..
I bought it with just a few mods and back in the day modded the s*it out of the 'ol V6. Did the big turbo, vortec head, offset ground crank thing many years ago. Had a lot of fun spent a ton of dough but realized the 4.3 was not really the engine to mod for me..I built a V6 that had 40 psi boost-it detonated and broke a rod. I know there has been a few guys running big #s with turboed V6s but I wanted some thing I could take out and beat the crap out of every weekend and still hang together...if it broke it would be cheap to fix. I also blew up many "glass" 700R4s in my time, I had a hughes turbo 400 w/ brake in the shop and threw it in.. One of the best things I have done, with the extra RPM of the V8 it works great!!

Not to take anything away from the Turbo V6 guys I just chose a different route to get there cheap!!

For the engines ability to handle N20-- the 150 hit on there is childs play for what this engine will handle. I see NO PROBLEMS running 300+ hp hit to this engine with no issues. It has all the parts to handle high doses of the giggle gas.


Over the years my hot rodding has taken me in many different directions, I have built all my own stuff and have built many engines for customers.. I have a 7000SF shop for the toys..the Typhoon I built is probably the least technical ride I have. Here are a couple of my other rides..

'91 ZR1 427cid LT5 32 valve 4 cam, BME pistons, titanium crower rods, LPE cams, 4L80e w/stand alone computer....does a 1.40 60 foot..10.20 all day long. Does have direct port NX with progressive controller but when I spray it it blows a headgasket (open deck engine).. I have been making a few changes to it lately...did another set of heads w/siamese port work and del west titanium valves, different liners with copper head gasket... I should beable to spray now. Also thinking of ditching the 4L80e and putting in a Bruno drive tranny.

"55 Chev All tube chassis, DRCE 500 cid ex NHRA pro stock engine (Rickey Smith), Liberty 5 speed cluchless tranny...9800 RPM....yes it will be street legal too!!

OH boy here we go MR BLACK VENOM a.k.a. the king of the 13 second street weenies.

Shane Hyland I know you have a ton of MOUTH lately with no ride finished---nothing to race except your laptop and mouth. As it stands right now you are in the mid 12 second club with way more mouth than your car can back up. I sure hope for your sake your new project build will come somewhat close to your expectations. Sounds to me like the shop thats doing your work is feeding you info so you will max out those credit cards even more. Keep spending that MONEY Hyland its not going to do you any good!!

Im sure the shop you are at has PLENTY of more credit card applications for you to fill out so the project will be completed some day.

Shane Hyland (Black Venom) has fell into the ol racer speech... "WELL THE OTHER GUYS CAR DID IT WITH THE SAME MODS OR LESS SO MY CAR WILL BE FASTER" I about fell over when I heard that one. Shane Hyland has not found out yet that others sandbag what they REALLY HAVE... ROOKIE


As for the silver stang and my black TY we will for sure hook it up.. They are telling me the stang has 840 ft pnds of torque on the dyno.. We will soon find out...Hopefully someone in their crew will take out the slowest ride in my garage!!! LOL If he gets lucky it only take a little N20 jet change to be faster!!


P.S. BLACK VENOM...I see you are into internet racing videos posting your wins against 13 second cars on the web... Why not post the vid of the BONE STOCK LS1 giving it to you hard with a 75 hp hit...that I installed??? You were a lost puppy that night.
