YES Jer..it will go 7,000+ now with the SBC...dont need the O/D now with the extra RPM.

Ive had a few calls on the Ty and I have a few more details.. It has battery relocated in the back with alum. bat box, it also has the ON/OFF switch installed in the rear...required NHRA for rear batt mount. The cladding has a few crackes in rear bumper, and drivers side has a big crack. Im sure it could be fixed or buy new. I knew years ago cladding was getting hard to get?

Ive also had a few questions asked about my ZR1..It ran 6 low 10 sec passes this year at the corvette ZR1 gathering.. Best ET 10.2..I think RY368 has all the runs on video if anyone wants to see them!! It ran 10.60 in '04. I have had a 4L80E in the car for about 3 years, I am thinking of going with a Bruno drive w/3 speed box for '06.
As for the BLACK VENOM posts..Plenty of vid and time slips to back up my claims lil buddy.. Whats backing you up?? A 12 sec slip and a broke stang?? LOL OOOH THATS SOOO FAST.. LOL A liitle fact for you Mr slow stang Im 2 years older than you...OH that just makes me a grandpa doesnt it you tool. Why do you care so much how old I am? All that matters is if someone is interested in the hobby..not how old they are?
To the sleep dog crew that has a ton of saliva dripping from their mouths wanting to race my Ty, it seems as though my Ty is the one to try and beat in their world. Easy guys you dont have to lie to set up a race...we will hook it up!! One question though as a sy/ty guy said it best.... WHAT IS A SLEEP DOG??

I'm just perplexed by your statement that a larger enigine with more rotating mass will spin up higher. All else being equal the smaller engine will handle higher RPMs more so then the V8 engine will. What's done to the V8 to allow it to spin higher safely?

I can vouch for Rod's cars and slips, he has dominated track and street. I have also had a car built by him. I am extreamly happy with every aspect of my car. As a matter of fact, he will be the only one to ever touch my car.He installed the n2o and I made a rookie n2o mistake and hit the rev limiter, and I popped a valve. Until that point I was waxin' anything close.He has rebuilt my motor, now 13.82 on 2.5 60ft and street tires. I have one of the cleanest motors in Colo. Looking forward to summer of 06. I have not seen anybody else build motors the way he does. I also can vouch that he does ALL OF HIS OWN WRENCHING ON HIS VEHICLES!

Jer, A 4.3 is just a 350 minus 2 more cylinders. They sy/Tys rev low, If I remember back to my V6 days all I could rev mine was 5500rpm..and had to have a cam and change the tranny shift points. The tranny would shift sooner so it had to be modified.
Yes the 4.3 is a smaller engine but has similar bore and stroke. To get more RPM all you need is a better set of heads and a bigger cam. As for my Typhoon V8 engine all that needs to be done is have a decent set of heads, cam, and proper springs to go to 7,000...nothing special.
I have an SB2.2 SBC 448cid 4.155 bore X 4.125 stroke..Really big for a SBC.. I have no problems at all reving it to 9,000 RPM and it does have a very big stroke for a small block.. It has Jesel shaft rockers, titanium valves, and heads that flow 400+cfm.. Its all about spring pressure, light valves, and a very stable rocker system that lets this kind of engine go 9k plus..

The transbrake is 12 v with a switch. When the switch (button) is held down it locks the tranny in first and reverse at the same time. This allows the user to take their foot of the brake and put the throttle wide open (if desired). It is especially benificial for the turbo guys building boost on the line with NO creep, all the sy/ty guys know what I mean there!!!
As for the transfer case it has held up perfect..no issues yet.. the truck does launch very violent if stalled high and N20 out of the hole!! Gotta love the AWD out of the hole especially with drag radials.
I will get some more engine pics....also a few more details-- I just put on a new set of MSD wires tonite...a couple other things as well that I just rembered the engine has ARP studded bottom end, and also the heads have ARP studs
For tires it has BFG drag radials all the way around...Did some "tire" testing in front of the shop today..it hooking real hard now!!

Oh I should have specified more.. The SB2 engine is in my '40 ford coupe!!! Just giving an example of a big stroke high reving engine..

N20 DADDY...love the screen name!!!! Glad you are happy with your car, cant wait to see the spray used again...thats what the Comp cam is ground for..plenty of laughing gas!!! You wont have any issues taking out your boy "SLOWBRA" the '03 cobra. LOL
