Fastest ET with stock cam and heads?

What is the fastest? I know its gotta be in the very low 11's if not in the 10's.

If you did it, what size turbo? How much boost, and what stall?

Turbo6 has that honor. He did it depsite the factory heads and cam, both of which are anemic.

10.93 @ 122 was with a 40 shot. The best without nitrous was 11.10 @ 118 and the best mph without nitrous was 119.3.

The turbo was a PTE52 running at 25psi and a 3500 stall.

I took the motor apart this past Sunday and it looked great and yes it had all factory parts including the head gaskets and all!

That's amazing Phil...This goes to show everyone how much these motors will really take when safely, carefully and closely monitored and most importantly when you don't ping/knock them....

Ya know what's weird - I've paid very close attention to what Phil has done with his previous build (if you want to call it that) - and I always thought it was a Ty. Dunno why.

the secret to phils truck is well thought out parts, and mostly being willing to take the time and learn how to use the tunercat and look at it as a work in progress all the time. i remember when he bought that truck we went for a test drive and his comment was "it doesn't seem very fast..."

theres another thing about phil. he isn't afraid to ask questions and take advice, and he's a very bright guy. (sorry phillip, and all this time i been calling you a dick to your face and behind your back i been tellin people how smart you are... :) he took off the ultimate as soon as he got if from me and said to himself that if a chip would make it run better i'm gonna learn how to make my OWN chips instead of doin a generic chip from someone else. he just maximized everything on the truck to work the best together it could. he really is a story. anyone wanting to go fast should go back and read every post he ever made. phil would

WOW, I have been messing with Syty's for almost 10 years and had no idea that a Sy was capable of that kinda run on the stock motor!! I suspect I speak for others is asking what other things (besides the turbo & NOS) you did toit at that time to get an ET that low??

I would love to get my Sy down in the mid 11's, and still have some sense of reliability to it. Im about ready to install the ULT-50 chip and injectors, but after reading this, I intend to hold off in the hopes you can enlighten me on how I might attain the above numbers.

You have to datalog every run and make changes all the time.Get a wideband. Try different timing too. Write down what the changes you did so you dont forget. Keep looking for ways to cut off .01 and it adds up. Run C16 fuel. Make small changes at a time so you dont blow it up. Work on your traction its just as important. etc etc
