Fiberglass Bed cover. Recommendations please......

Hey guys,

I've pretty much decided that I want to go with a fiberglass (paintable) bed cover for my Sy. I basically looking for recommendations on what looks the best on our trucks. Brands, and places to buy would be great. Pictures of them on trucks would be even better!!

once smoothed and painted, the Checkmate cover is a nice light, clean looking cover. Not as leak-proof as one that goes entirely over the bed though.

Im not familiar with the "Checkmate" cover you referred to above. Any chance you have a link to more info? I cant seem to find anything via Yahoo

Exactly what do you mean by not as leak proof? (ie how bad is it?)

The hinges at the front of the bed dont allow you to put much as far as leak protection.. If you spent the time to get all the holes sealed up nice, Im sure it really wouldnt be a problem.

He means the checkmate cover doesn't hang over the corners as opposed to the snuglid by snugtop that does... sligth weight difference as the snuglid is inherently heavier and requires some drilling

My old Sy had Leer on it. It looked awesome. It was the one that goes over the bed rails, so water can't leak in.

Ian, how difficult is it to remove and replace your tonneau? Say you were going to move a couch across town.
