Firewall question?

So I was looking at my firewall today and noticed something today for the first time. If you open the hood and look at the far right corner of the firewall, I noticed the numbers 3396 in yellow. Any idea what this number represents? It was in the area sort of where the fender and cowl meet but the letter are on the firewall, pretty big too, probably 2 inches tall each number.

mine are in red by the booster. I would guess it's a production work order. I think there was a post about that stuff awhile back.

There have been many posts, but no answers. I wish I knew too.

Re: Firewall question?

thats he nuber put there by PAS for the number of things that will break on the truck

lol that number may be a little on the low side... at least with my truck it is!

Those numbers are on my truck too, not sure what they are? Maybe to pre-identify it for when it ends up at the junkyard? similar numbers on everything I've bought from one. hahaha

I've seen them on a few GM S series. Must be production/worker #'s.

I thought it might be the lunch order for the guys working on the truck that day

3396 = two #3's, a #9 and a #6 to go!!
