first boost

Just curious, I tried to search a couple times but didn't come up with an answer. Is there a way to disable the first boost low psi with a stock chip??

I'm getting ready to go to the track for the first time with this truck and it's stock chip and I don't really see a way to build boost in the staging lanes.

i think i've heared that when step SLIGHTLY on the brake the 1st boostlimiter is disabled,
am i right , guys ?

You can disable it in the chip if you get a custom one.

Any other mods?

Nevermind, you are heading to the track......I think there is a procedure that you can use....I cna't remember.....I'm sure the search will help.

Send the stock chip to one of the tuners from this site and have them disable it for you.

Can't you push the gas to the floor once to disable this? Almost like doing a free rev? Then go on about with it.. :dunno:

well, we are all thinking on the same page here, I just didn't know if anyone knew of a sure fire way to disable it. Maybe aldl or what not.

as far as I know the code for limit boost during first accel needs to be taken out of your code via tunerpro

If you boost in drive with your foot on the brake ... i think it sees that at the first boost..

Those of us who ran in the stock class at Nats have no choice (only stock memcal allowed). I had no trouble doing a quick blast between the burn out box and the tree to get past the 1st boost limit. Seemed to take the track employees by surprise a little the 1st time, but they got used to it. Shouldn't let it stop you if you can't get a chip burned before track day.
