Hello Guys ,1st post ...have been lurking for a few months :oops:
Picking up a '93 Ty hopefully in about 3 weeks.
Here is a pic,its just off the boat I think so its bit dusty etc. :roll:

One of the Guys from the american car club i am in has his own import/servicing co.,he imported 3 one white one and two black,the white one was stunning but out my price range :rant: the other one has had some engine work done but we dont know what,this one seems pretty standard...thought that would be safer,starting with a blank canvas kinda?
Trading my C4 'vette for it...luv the 'vette but even as a 2nd car its still causing me grief with THE Mrs..."3 kids and you buy a Corvette blah blah" :lol: yes dear I know what an ass hole i was :rotf: :roll: :roll: (thats what the friggin Volvo's for dumb bint ;) )
So instead of the usual 4th Gen T/A or 'maro i fancied something a bit unusual,and the Typhoon tickled my fancy :tup: so I'll see how i get on with it

no saudi version, but can anybody tell me why the driverside rearlight has an amber light? i'am picking up another ty this month, and also has a light like that?

i'd guess the reverse lights were converted to turn signals, since many foreign countries dont allow a flashing red brakelight to serve as a turn signal.
looks like there is a remote reverse light under the bumper.

hi cjk im the guy that bought the white ty, coming up to 2 months now and i still haven't seen any paper work . redbourne american dosn't return my calls and if i do catch him i feel im being bull sh*ted .i need paper work as i live in a resricted parking area and without it it costs me £1.50 a day to park on the steet as im classed as a visitor untill i can prove the truck is mine i also have no mot papers and took it to an mot test station who said it shouldn't have passed with amber front side lights and no fog light i must say it's soured my ownership a bit. Go over it with a fine tooth combe i don't think any of them, mine included where worth the money and needs nannying...that said you gota love the kick in the ass and the looks...(ps did see one 4 sale in fife area when looking on the net).....and dave redbourne if u read this....wheres my f***ing paper work?. yours pissed off ,payed up ty ower

Well,here we are about 3 months later and she's finally in my garage :rotf: Some issues...never i hear you say!!
Doesn't seem to be spooling up right,no turbo noise ,no kick in the back as it takes off. It has a Miss/hesitation at about 8 psi, everything apart from the plug wires have been changed in the ignition dept(dealer changed it all before i collected her)),i have have plug wires coming in the next week or so.
The Guy i bought it off says he had her plugged into the relevant software and no probs were found no codes etc...boosting fine, wastegate fine etc.When i picked her up today I sank the loud pedal hard just the once,remember i know it has a miss/hesitation, and a CEL appeared for about 20 seconds....sh1t myself as i was about 150 miles from home,but it went off and it drove cool all the way home...maybe because I was drivin' like a Girl :lol: never above 80.
Having had a load of Ricer cars in the past :rant: :rant: I know how a turbo should feel when spooling up, this aint spooling up right.. compared to some of the stories I have read on here,if it aint ignition what else should I be looking at.

Hey !!! Great pics, even if it is stock, don't worry, there will be lots of options for you I'm sure...The spooling thing..uhhh, could be a serious miss, like in a cylinder, but that would have shown a code for sure, maybe a leak somehwere in the exhasut portion of the turbo ? Hard to say without performing surgery, lol...let me know what you find.

Great looking truck you've got there...where was it imported from ? Vehicles that have been on boats generally suffer from the sea water and stuff...be sure to ream the bolt holes or ANYTHING that you might take off in the next couple weeks. I had a fantastic job detailing the engines that Ford exported/imported awhile back....and every engine had something "dirty" about it. BTW....WELCOME !!!!!!!
