I have 2 700R4 trannys that I just had rebuilt for a 7oo horsepower motor. I was thinking of selling one and putting a built 350 or 400 in. I know the 350 will fit right in but I'm not so sure about the 400 since it is still AWD. how do you go about adapting the 400 to the transfer case. does anyone make an adaptor? just how much of a job is it and what parts need to be changed to go with a 400? I would appreciate some knowledgable advice on this.

PS: anyone need a fresh 700?

I think, Advanced Adaptors makes a tail for the 400 for our t-case. If not they would be the first place to start for a custom one.

I believe the hoovers have done a 400 tranny swap with their truck. I would like to ask them for a couple pointers if i could reach them. if they see this maybe they could give me a contact or if someone knows how to reach them maybe they could send me their address

want to go faster, have less trouble than with the 700's, and make more horsepower . I'm at almost 700 dynoed horses now and don't know how much more the 700r4 will take. I hear the 400 is bullit proof if done right. fi I can keep a 700 together i would be really happy
