I couldn’t find anything between a 7 lbs and 13 lbs cap. I can tell you with a 7 lbs cap your overflow jug will fill up and over flow if you have a 180 or higher thermostat. It might not if you have a 160.

do you have a leak when you pressurize the system or not?
once again i will tell you that your lowerintake could be leaking...because they rebuilded teh engine, and vortecs and lowerintakes sometimes need some instant gasket to seal up.
if you take your heads of. and don't find anything wrong with it, you would be sorry you just didn't check your lower intake...

as for cometics, they definitely do leak sometimes. friend had them on a very well built corvette and they leaked like a siv. guy that built the motor said he had never seen a set leak but these certainly did. also, i just got back from wheel to wheel tonight and they told me thay were having troubles lately with cometics leaking. so it's not out of the question. you'll know if the heads are cracked when you take them off. it can be a very small crack so look well. especially if they were ported. if it got hot that's a very likely possibility

I'll have it pressure tested again before I pull them but yeah, they got pretty damn hot. When I got my headers coated they said they could take getting red hot and would be fine, worst that would happen is they would get "spiky". They're spiky, it's wierd looking, like some of the material was trying to get out of the coating :)

did you leave the ceramic seal in the radiator or did you poor the bottle in, run the water pump then drain your coolant system for 24hrs?

Re: foamy bubbles in my coolant, should I worry?

I don't remember seeing anything on the bottle about leaving it empty 24 hours, just overnight. I poured it in, drove it around a couple of hours, drained it out and left it empty overnight, then refilled it and tried to drive it again. It held for a short while under easy driving but couldn't take any boost. Think I'd have better luck leaving it a full 24 hours? Are there any brands that work better than the Moroso stuff? It was easy enough I'd be up for trying it again if I didn't do it right.

as long as you followed the instructions, it should have worked if it was repairable. There's KW block sealer as well, but essentially they do the same thing.. Some call for 24hrs, while i guess some call for overnight...
