So I finally found a Syclone, hiding out in MS. 107k miles with a list of modifications over a page long including new turbo and a 7th injector. I'll get you guys the list of mods soon. From the looks and sound of it, it's been taken care of for 107k miles. I didn't want to buy one previously modded because from past experience it's gone south fast and especially with high mileage. Glad to be amongst your ranks, soon as I get the bad boy home I'll let you guys know how he does.

I'm kinda an insomniac and I've been brainstorming tonight. I may just find another one stock and drop my '98 S-10 body on the Syclone's chassis.. Just a thought, not even sure if it would work.. As far as I know, the dimensions are about the same. The S-10 is kind of my hobby at the moment, been dressing it up and thinking eventually putting it in shows.

The 7th injector is GHEY.You are the only person here that has one.Please post the page long list of your mods so we can see what you got. :tup:
As for the 98,just get a 4x4 S10 frame,a Bravada front axle and transfercase. It would be 7th injector retarded to rip a Sy apart. :n00b:

I have been around these trucks for over six years now. Been to three NATS, many wrenching sessions and countless meets. During that time, I have only seen ONE truck with the 7th injector mod... Like yourself, the owner just got the truck and didn't know any better

The 7th injector is intended to supplement the fueling of the truck. It was intended for truck who have maxed out the stock injectors (aka band aid) It goes right after the TB but it known to have poor distribition. It only come on at WOT, I am not sure what type adjustability 0it has but I am sure it doesn't time in with the ECM. In its defense, the 7th injector did come out before their were that many choices of injectors and chips tuned for those injectors. ATR made these for GN's originally. The Japan manufacturer sell variantion of these well.

Yeah, I'm new to all this and I know less than half of any of you but I'm a quick learner. I think it's safe to say I know nothing about them compared to the guys that have had them multiple years and have spent countless hours into modding them, but that's okay, I don't claim to. I just saw a Syclone for a decent price that was taken care of so I jumped on it, it's been my goal to have one since I started driving. I've been in the military over 2 years now so I don't have the time to mod this thing up so fast, especially not since I'm closing in on completing the exterior of my S-10 and half way done with interior. But anyway, now you guys have a background and such. I'll get that list to you guys next week when I call the guy back.

I have heard of Grand National guys getting a notable reduction in intake air temperature from a 7th injector setup. Might be worth checking your IAT with and without the 7th injector to see if it makes a difference. Congrats on the new purchase, by the way.
