Garret Turbo any good for my Ty?

I picked up a t3/t04e turbo a while back for another project and wondered how it would perform on my Ty.

I think the A/R is too small, but thought I'd ask.

Here are all of the specs I was given...

The compressor housing A/R is T04E series turbo (50) with a number 11 compressor wheel (Garrett P/N 442476-0011). Measurements on the compressor wheel: OD = 2.2", ID = 2,99", height = 1.5". The turbine housing is a t3 with .48 A/R, narrow base, open throat. The turbine shaft is a T3, slope ground to high performance specs.

the ar is too damn small
0,36 is used for normal 1,6 ltr engines
0,48 is used for 2,0 ltr and moded 1,6s
0,63 is used for moded 2,0s like sierra cosworths ,lancia integralle and some others
you need a bigger ar
on the comp.side you have 56mm while the stock is smaller.
hope this helps.....

Yep, thanks, I'll just use this one for my original project I had planned for it, a 2.0 liter 4-banger

One thing with PTE is there numbers do not correspond with the actual turbo size. FOr instance their stealth 70 is not a 70mm turbo. There is not enough material to safely go over 66mm in a 3" inlet.

the t 74 has a wheel from a cat 988.

at first the wheel had 127mm exduser diam. that was to damn big.that combo didnt work ofcourse but you know, i had to give it a try.
i machined the wheel to turbonetics specs and we did manage to balance the big baby. the compressor is a holset .

the t66 has a wheel from volvo truck 122
its actually 67mm with 91mm exduser, two way balanced
this is the turbo for my next step but it will delay about two weeks till i find the money to buy that speedpro

both t74 & t66-67 have t4 shaft 64mm
with 0,70 a/r turbine
