Re: Garrett GTP38 turbo?
1: i am under the impression that it will be considerably cheaper for me to go turbo than N/A ( if i am sadly mistaken please correct me

)
Ok, your mistaken. You could get a used cam on the cheap, and ls6 intake port it, and then all you need is exhaust and tune for the most part. Might need injectors but dont think so.
2: running the exhaust will be much easier turbo'd than N/A..
Wrong again. With the turbo your going to have to make/buy custom headers/downpipe/with wastegate/crossoverpipe/and the rest out the back or dump it. With N/A i bet you could find some headers and just have them tweaked/modded a little to fit, and then the rest out the back.
truck is a 5 speed with a bravada T-case..
And here is the last clue, trubos work great with autos, not manuals. While it may be fun to have 450hp turbo.... if you had 450hp N/A i bet it would be faster. your also going to want to pick up a BOV or make sure your turbo has the anti/surge front/cold side housing on it with a manual. And what are you going to do about a boost controller... Thats about $300-600, unless you want your to stay super cheap and get a 10 manual boost valve?
Wow, people are giving you information... And your not taking it.
Do what you want man, its your toy. You said you wanted a turbo, get a turbo. But you can get the power you want for cheaper, more simple, and have a more reliable build. That might take you a weekend tops to do.
