Getting there

Went to Sacramento Raceway last Sat night. First run was 12.3@114 with no launch and 15psi. Just being easy to start. Next runs were boosted launches all but the last run. Second run was 11.65@116 with 17psi. Third run was 11.59@116 with 18psi and 60ft 1.66. At this point, I got warned to keep it above 12s by 3 track officials. I parked it for awhile and watched the races. I wanted to make one more run. I set the boost to 19psi and richened it up a bit that netted 11.75@119. I got anxious at the light and didn't build boost . :x

Well, I made my goal that night. I got asked to leave!!

I don't really want to install a roll bar in the sy though.

Very nice runs - congratulations! Feed that thing a little more boost and see what she will do.

Who tuned your DFI? with your build I really thought you would manage high 10's. I am putting together a very simular build (main componets)

Brodix heads ported polished
T-68 turbo
75# injectors
KB headers
KB intercooler
DFI Gen 7
Stroked motor & Bowtie
Built 700r4

I was figuring high tens with my build, but seeing yours and how close it is to mine I'm wondering. :(
Although I am planing to have it tuned to 22/23 lbs boost.

It is my first time at the Accel DFI. It is version 6.32 so it is very old school. I have been tuning it with a lm-1 wide band. Your version 7 is far better especially if it has the closed loop Wide band 02 option. It also has a boost builder program to help at the light.

My truck still has more left so with tuning and more boost, high 10s is feasable. So with your build I see you doing even better!!

So at 11.99 and below you need a cage (a cage contained within the cab, not one with bars sticking out the back of the cab welded to the frame)?

How do you plan on continuing at the track without one?

yeah lower than 11.99 you need all the above plus the rear bars.....

oh and my plan....

put it this way, i just got home late as i was at the shop next to mine watching as he welded those bars that go thru the window and into the frame in the bed.

One of my buddies was up there last weekend running his blown mustang. He said there was a Sy that was pretty quick. I'm assuming it was you...? He drove up from the bay area I believe to run in Sac.. Anyway, good run! 8)
