On a tribute page to the now departing GMC Jimmy, the highlights of "Jimmy's" carrer are being extoled. One such high water mark was in 1992, when "GMC launches Jimmy Typhoon (R) and it becomes the fastest SUV of it's time".
(Note the "fastest" claim)

I guess when they retire the Sonoma name we'll be told about the virtues of the "Sonoma Syclone".
I know that some book value sources and other rating services classify the Ty as a subset of Jimmy, but I didn't think GMC had officialy ever done that.
