Why would you buy a diesel Ty?

I personally wouldn't buy a Jasper engine either Brian but the deal was right on the truck and it was already in there. If it pukes while it's still under warranty I'll pull the replacement apart and make sure it's right before I install it. If it pukes out of warranty I'll build one the way I want it. I did check on what was inside this thing before I bought it and they say it has the right pistons but had no info on the crank journal size. If it was a blazer engine I would think I would have a KR problem.
As far as the posts go, the one that had 5 Jasper engines in it was a trans problem. Besides that, the cause of the failure should have been discovered
long before the fouth failure. The rest of the stuff was hearsay. No one can build the perfect motor every time. All us engine techs have problems on occasion. It's how those problems are handled that makes or breaks ya. Learning from mistakes is a part of it too.
