Have a question about the factory turbo

Has anyone successfully pulled that plug of of the turbine housing that covers the waste-gate flapper?

I'm hoping I can just zip the welds off and knock it out like a freeze plug, I have asperations of doing a port job on the factory waste-gate. Just wondering if anyone has tired removing this thing with any success.

I'm just going to cut the housing open and use a JSM style down-pipe, way better option.
