Help code 42???

I keep getting this code almost immediately after reseting the computer.

I installed an amplifier in my truck and disconnected the battery to hookup the Power wire to the positive terminal.

Immediately after installing it gave me this code.

Do I need to set the IAC or something?

ALSO: I have the power wire ring terminal on the stock positive terminal bolt between the battery and the bolt so I may not be getting the best 12 volt connection. Would that cause it to throw a code 42?

I did it like that temporary until I get a new battery that also has top posts.

OK I fixed it.

The Tan wire under the Glove Box (the one thats disconected to set timing) was loose.

It was snapped together (I checked it before I posted) but wasn't making contact.

I changed it to a bullet style connecter and haven't seen the check engine light since.

I spent all night disconnecting the Amplifier and the rest of the stereo system, and determined that the only reason this problem started happening after I installed the Amp is because the BASS vibrated it loose.

Everytime I turned the BASS up the check engine light came on.

I was convinced it had to due with the current draw of the amp (1600 watts/ 80 amps)

Well its 6:11am and I'm going to bed  , I'm kinda disappointed in myself that it took me this long to figure out the problem.

I will sleep well knowing the Typhoon will be running strong for tommorows kills.

I will be hunting a modded blue lightning thats been riding around, I plan on sneaking up behind him very queitly and snatch him up. :grab:
