140 in the sy is nothing like 140 in my wife's supra.
fast forward 2 years. sy's back on the road with much work. poly motor mounts, billit 9/11 conv., full hartman trans, moroso sfi flexplate, new rubber trans mount and running for now w/o the under engine wind deflector. those are the only things I can think of that could cause this-
never had this before the 2 year teardown
The vibration's not at all noticable while on the gas, acclelerating.
it's moderate when cruising high speeds(100/110+), getting stronger the higher the speed(but not when acct'ng)
It's worst when you're totally off the gas, in D or OD while coasting down from a high speed.
Like last night when at an est. 135 I pulled my foot out of it quickly, but smoothly, and the just after the weight transfers from acc. to de-cell. it kind of shakes like going fast over a hard packed dirt road that's all washboarded out. reading that last line again, it's not that bad at all, but it does make a sound like an industrial vibrator when slowing from truly hauling a$$
On my other cars I've done on car wheel balancing with great results and Tom at san diego driveline said we could do it on the sy if the we pull the driveshafts, and that the results will be amazing.
Since my half shaft/ fron diff as well as drive shafts and trans were all out together, could something be not clocked differently than it was?
Any body else use an on car balancer?
love to smooth out those bibes.
Love to hear any thoughts.
