No. You have to separate the halves. You'll see a steel pin pressed in that keeps the compresser side from rotating. I had to use a dremel tool with a carbide bit and grind that so it was flush with the ring of the center section and flush with the surface of the center section where the pin is pressed in.

I tried to the same thing with my stock turbo. I wanted to go with an air to air setup. If you are using the stock turbo with and air to air intercooler you will also need a piece to remount the wastegate and solenoid. I believe Mike Renz makes that product.
