I think I have a problem...

Someone please stop me from spending all my money on these friggin trucks!
besides my black 10sec stock block build, I have also been gathering parts for my next adventure, which will be a fairly big v6 Bowtie build.

I just recently purchased the complete top end off Jamie Hackings 7sec Sy (he's going a different direction). 18deg Brodix Chapman heads fully assembled with complete Jessel setup, offset lifters and sheet metal valve covers. 2 different intakes matched for the Chapman heads, a Pontiac Daytona Dash and a Hogan sheet metal..

These parts along with others I got from Jamie will find their way to Alex at Steve Morris Engines where my block is patiently waiting for the rest of the parts needed.

Pictures coming.

Re: I think I have a problem...

I remember I once read in your build thread that the black Ty would be enough and you would stop there. Made me chuckle :D

You are getting great results and spending it wisely FWIW. Wish I had the same results. I should be in the 9s after all I have in mine! :(

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

Re: I think I have a problem...

The problem would be buying all the parts and never finishing the project. I'll hold judgement until the end. :)

I feel your pain man. I lost track of how many vehicles I own, I think I have 9 :dunno:

thankfully I just took a deposit on my LS2/T56 so hopefully I get that pulled next week and start parting out the rest of the GTO and really decrease the size of my fleet.

Matt,
Don't worry there are worse vices. You don't drink or smoke. If your significant other is okay with it "Go Nuts".

The project will get completed, just not in a huge rush since I still have my 10sec stock block build I'm messing with...

Yeah,I know you have that great set of heads for sale. The stuff I got from Jamie was a package deal too good to pass up. Comp Cams belt drive, Oliver rods, Meziere water pump, intakes and all kinds of stuff for the Bowtie.

Re: I think I have a problem...

Here's some head comparison pics to give some sort of an idea how big and nasty these heads really are..
The pics don't do them justice though, u have to see them in person to truly appreciate them.
I tried to show the difference between a few heads compared to the Chapmans.
The steel heads are stock Vortecs and the other aluminum heads are Brodix raised port -10s that I was going to use, but now that's changed:lol:

Chapman's and stock Vortecs

Chapmans and Brodix -10s

Chapmans and Brodix -10s

Vortecs, -10s and Chapmans.
In this pic u really get a feel for the size of these heads..
