Depends on your whether your wanting activities with cars, shows, races, autocrossing and outlaw street events, or just Syclone/Typhoon folks. For example, Golden CO Saturday cruise is this weekend and it draws 1,500 - 2,000 muscle cars trucks, and rat-rides. Facebook will announce 1320 racing (where roll street racing locations are announced); and nationwide.com can let high end car owners (porches, ZR1s, GTRs, etc) know where to gather for some fun.
Car shows are everywhere (almost every weekend); some with DJ's, some with music/food, others at Shops where customers show off there builds.
Bandimere has events up until October 19th.
Granted its a hit-n-miss with seeing lots SyTy members, but there's no shortage of CO car guys who assemble. Even Sonic Drive-ins can be used as cruising sites, but rain/weather has a damping effect (so with the recent showers attendance varies). No one wants hail damage or to be stranded in some flood zone with the dollars invested in their rides.

Didn't even mention the roundy-round tracks; demolition derbys; pikes peak events; go cart tracks; Julesburg and Pueblo tracks; Goodguys/street rod events; and Wille B's promotions. Most Colorado residents don't stay indoors (hiking, biking, mtn climbing, rafting, cave or old mining town exploring) not to mention attending professional (Broncos, Avalanche, Nuggets, Rockies) or College Sports (CU, CSU, Air Force, DU, etc).
Not to sound like a travel agent, but ignoring the scenic views/nature folks stay busy with red rocks/concerts, plays/shows, jeep trails/sand dunes, boating and of course work.
No humidity, no swarming bugs, 340 days of sun shine, and things to do in the winter (snow shoeing, skiing, x-country skiing, sledding, fly fishing) and as Jimmy mentioned ..plant farming make it rather unique. :rotf:
...but if there is a downside, its that getting folks to agree to a time-n-place is hard since their individually doing stuff. SyTy folks are just as active, with some having kids to enjoy on weekends.
