Insurance in BC

I went to ICBC to figure out how much it would cost for insuring a sy or ty but they didnt have anything in their books for them. they called the local gm dealer and theyd never heard of either so basically unless i have all the paperwork in my possession its a guess.
how did you guys get insurance for them? i mean i really dont need/want to piss around with icbc, or expect it to be 1250/yr but get snowballed when its actually 8grand when i go to get plates. Any ideas?

I would say insure it how they want to insure it, if anything happens they have to repair/replace back to how it was before. Or call customer service and start yelling at them, but they are generally pretty useless even at the best of times. Did you find a sy/ty to buy up here?

My Sy is insured as a Heavy Duty 4x4 Truck, ICBC has no records of Syclones or Typhoons in it's database. My brother is an auto insurance agent and he set it all up. I gave him my bill of sale and such for the value of the truck but I'd really like to get it appraised soon just to avoid any hassles if something happens.

dunno if ive found one, but i didnt want a suprise when trying to insure it. we got ahold of a manager and its 1300 a year with my 30% discount. so full price would be around 1900 or so i guess
pretty descent considering the specs on them.
