I was toying with the idea of going to one of the new gt q trim76 turbos and was thinking that the heads and intake won't go any farther than they are now. the motor is a jim stokes stroker, what he calls his street motor, and dynoed at about 700 horse. I've leaned it out , turned the boost up a little, and am running higer octane than the dyno runs so who knows now. I asked him about going to big vortecs instead of the massively worked late model L35 he did and he said I wouldn't really gain anything, and that the intake was also worked as far as a stock intake would go. His suggestion is Pontiac NASCAR heads, for mucho dinero!!! I can't afford to change the heads too right now, but was thinking of going to the bigger turbo and maybe a dfferent intake. I probably won't do the intake now cause I don't want to buy something that will not be able to work on the heads when next year comes. (the curse of not being rich enough to do everything at once! have to string the fun out a little more) My choice would have been the bow tie heads instead . Truck ran 10.81 last year at 127MPH and is still a little too fat. It could probably use a bigger air to air also. becoming a better speedpro guru wouldn't hurt either.
I had trouble keeping a tranny in it last year, so I'm really afraid to go for too much more power unless I switch. It's got a built 700 that's about maxed out. Mike had an interesting sounding 350 for sale but sounds like someone has already snatched it up. this will be the last 700 for me

I don't think there has ever been an AWD Sy break 10. If so, at least I'm not aware of it. Is it Roberts truck from Sweden that is on the top of the heap or did the Hoovers raise the bar a notch? We're talking about 2 hellaciously fast AWD Sy's. Ryan R. from Chicago looks like he has one impressive setup and when he finishes it he might just be someone to loo out for. I looked at his site and his build looks fabulous. Bottom line is that there are probably a few that on the right day could cut some great numbers.
I don't know if anyhone can make this assumption ( I certanily can't), but if an AWD was capable of running 10.5 and you converted it to rear wheel only would you be able to break 10's with the same amount of power. I've heard a few guys talk about having 1000 horse plus motors in a syty, but I haven't seen one yet. I'm hoping that someone like Mike may bring his from california to the nationals this year. I would love to see a 9 second AWD syty!

So I get some kind of implication that any truck that "needs" the aftermarket intake manifold is running 9s or better, and for that I've just gotta ask; whose are these trucks? Mike are all your customers Los Angeles street racers? Don't misinterpret me; it's just that if there are a bunch of fast trucks out there; I like hearing about 'em 8)
