intercooller plumbing

ok so im trying to finally finish this thing up and get it road worthy. i unfortunatly dont remember how the hoses came off and searched but didnt find my answer.

hers is my lower heat exchanger

and my upper

could someone be so kind as to tell me which hose goes where. on the upper the lower hose connection would go directly to the cooler or to the pump ? also ive seen hoses run both thru the right side fender and also around the back of the motor and down the left side of the motor. any advantages to one way over the other ??

On mine I think I did top (upper) to top (lower), and bottom (upper) to pump.

Just do the lower on one to the others top and vice versa. Pump from lower on heat exchanger to top on intercooler.

I did the Bosch water pump (looks like you did too). In my case, the upper intercooler's top hose connects to the lower intercooler's top inlet, and the upper intercooler's bottom hose connects to the top of the water pump.

When wiring the pump, keep in mind that in our trucks for this application, the black wire is actually the positive.

While it should theoretically be slightly better to pump the cool water into the bottom of the CAC and have the hot water flow out the top of the CAC down to the CCHE, I'd pump the water into the top.

If you're a little low on water, it'll fall down from the input at the top to the bottom. If you're pumping it into the bottom and you're a little low, it'll be harder for the water level to get up to the outlet at the top to flow out.

I doubt there's much of a performance difference either way, but having the input at the top and the output at the bottom of both the CAC and CCHE is probably the safest way to do it.
