Jumped IC Pump = No Start

Okay, so I needed to get my IC pump going and I did some searches to find a solution that involves jumping the yellow wire on the pump relay on the firewall. Unfortunately, I misread and assumed I needed to put + to this, and this is where the trouble began.

Note: putting +12v to the yellow wire with the key in the off position will turn the IC on. However, when you turn the ignition on, the pump goes off. It is slightly changing the polarity of the purple wire. Sadly, when I saw that it was unable to keep up the pump, I assumed the purple had a poor ground and grounded it. Guess what? The IC pump turned on, but now the truck doesn't start. I of course removed all the mods and reread the stuff I should have read to find I should have given the yellow wire ground instead... I have terrible luck with projects, and this just is another reminder of it...

Turning the key into the run position results in a check gauges light, a low turbo coolant light (that I have never seen before), and no fuel pump prime like I'm used to. I unplugged the battery for a few seconds but no changes. Also, IC pump fuse behind the alternator is good.

Any ideas? (Besides never do work from a tech article without reading the whole thing.)

Re: Jumped IC Pump = No Start

HAHA no. I ran outside, checked the ECM 10A and it was blown. I replaced it and all is well.

Thanks so much for the quick reply. :)
