How many of You Ty owners have an original km/h speedo ?

Like the one in my avatar.

I´m trying to find out if my Ty is too rare...

It looks like the "normal" ones.
Temp and pressures (boost, oil) are in US units.
Distance and speed in metric.

i think somebody sold some overlayers for km/h and some other clusters had the km/h layout. non syty though.
i had a ty once where the thing was calibrated that mph showed km/h. 6 sec and it was out of sight..lol

Mine shows correct speed compared to Datamaster and GPS.

Was looking through my files tonight and stumbled across some photos of a White 93 that was for sale in Germany February 2009. This was one of them.

Mine is also "european":

It was made in german Geiger shop, and they made it the worst way I could imagine. Scales doesn't fit, so now speedometer overestimates the real speed, and it covers all the diagnostic lights below. I can only see them through little round holes, and can't read the labels. Fiberglass is also cracked.

I'll need a new dash board.

Could the Speedo be out of a turbo sunbird and put in a Ty cluster? The cluster was very similar, cant remember exactly how it looked, I'm pretty sure rev counter was biggest difference, but there will be old links I'm sure and I've seen them on ebay as well in mph before now, Canadian/European turbo sunbirds must exist.

Yes canadian turbo sunbirds exist. A buddy of mine used to have one till it got stolen and burned. I am quite sure that you can take the overlay from that and install it into a syty cluster.

Yeah,ther's a few around. Once in a while they show up at the pic a part. My friend goes there on a regular timeframe. I'll ask him if he see's any turbo birds and get the cluster out of it.
