Kore3 rear disc brackets

I was finally able to get some time to get my rusted drum brakes and backing plates completely off so I began to look at the instructions for my kore3 rear brackets. In the instructions it says to measure the holes on the axle, however in the diagram it shows 4 holes. My axle only has three....

The bracket looks like it will align properly, but it only mounts with three holes?

Anyone that has used this kit have any input?

I'm also planning on mounting the calipers to the rear so it matches up with the brakes in the front.

Has nothing to do directly with the Kore kit, if you were doing Camaro backing plates on a Syclone you'd run into the same issue. Typhoons have all 4 holes but Syclone rears only have 3.

You can either use 3 or break out the drill. If it was me I'd drill it.

Re: Kore3 rear disc brackets

I'll add a hole definitely.

When the instructions say "machine the outer axle flange to 5.94" and add a 1/8" x 45 degree bevel to ensure rotors will seat properly" it means cut the top off that extends up above the bracket, right?

Right, just grind it down until the bracket clears and bolts up flush.

Re: Kore3 rear disc brackets

I looked on kore3's website and didn't see these, what are they listed under?

I don't think they are listed on the site anymore. They probably still offer them, just email them.

AAAAaaaaaannnnnnnnnd -does it allow the use of the E-brake? :squint:

According to the instructions I have, the bracket does allow for use of the drum in hat parking brake, but I didn't bother. I have never once used my stock e-brake. Maybe some day I will add it....

No, it means the outside diameter of the axle is too large for the brake disc to seat against. Take them to a machine shop (they're out anyways) and have them turned down to the proper diameter. Cost me $20 an axle.
