Lockup Table

Does this look accurate? I figure converter lockup at 50mph highway speed under light throttle. Unlock under no throttle, and unlock under full throttle, until 5300rpm (110mph) when it locks up full throttle in 3rd.

I was thinking of adding another table axis for the stock brake switch input to disengage the lockup, but i don't think i will ever be riding the brake and throttle at highway speed.

Any thoughts?

Re: Lockup Table

How are you triggering the TC lockup? I use a ground output that is spliced into the ALDL so the brake disengage still works just like stock. The parameters you have are very close to the ones that I have for the Holley, except I do not have it set to unlock at low TPS. I have it to lock at 40 mph but only if TPS is less than 30% or so.

Thanks

i wire direct to the lockup solenoid. If i decide to use the brake switch, i will snip the wires at the button and wire into the ecu. I dont want o fuss with the ALDL port. I dont use it for anything. But 0% TPS should be the same circumstances as pressing the brake for disengaging the lockup.

Re: Lockup Table

The only thing I was concerned about with the 0% tps unlock was the constant lock and unlock when lifting the throttle. It would not happen very often, but lots of times when driving over 40, I have to let off the gas completely.

I do this too and its makes low speed cruising nice as RPMs and exhaust tone are both very low. I almost treat TC lockup as a 5th gear. My spacing to lock it at part throttle is about the same amount of spacing that I have between the gear shifts...
