Engine Killer, iPhone Killer, Lawnmower Killer
Last night on my way home from work I was cruising down rt.76 in the TY, when I got to the Walt-Witman bridge I saw a nice red Dakota R/T 5.9 with 20’s and exhaust coming on from 95 so I give it a little rev as I go by. (I have no exhaust on right now just a downpipe.) I about 5 minutes go by I am over the bridge and have half down rt. 42 when I see headlights coming up fast in the left lane. I slow down and move over to see who it is, low and behold it is the Dakota. He looks over and stays with me doing the “speed limit” (my speed limit of 80 anyway) and I hear him get on it and take off, not thinking he was actually going to race I had kept it in OD and was just cruising. So I get on it enough to ketch-up and he looks over and smiles again, this time I drop it down into D around 50 mph and smash it, I look back and se he is with me till about 60 and I start pulling by 100 I am getting ready to throw it in OD so I don’t over rev it again and look back only to see I have pulled a good 6-8 car length on him. Anyway I shut down throw it in OD and slow to about 50 to see if he wants to play some more, nope not this time he turns off and gives me a thumbs up. Well at least he saw what a real truck was tonight, it must suck to spend 26k on a sport truck do some mods and still have a 15-16 sec truck.
Just as a side note some one almost stole my TY last night. Around 5:30 or so the second shift guard at my work comes in and tells me when he pulled up on his bike there was two guys standing on the side of the building, when he got off the bike they were pointing at the TY saying isn’t that what (add some black name here.) has, and looked over at the guard (in normal clothes) and walked back behind an outcropping of the building. Well he comers in and tells me this and after seeing a car jacking in front of the store entrance door 3 days earlier I was not have it happen to me so I go outside with 2 employees and stand on the side of the building when I saw a spot open up in front of the store I went and got my TY and moved it up front, that is when I saw the wheel of the ones bike probably around 17-18 years old hanging out of the out cropping. I started up the TY to move it and it can be heard form some distance (no exhaust) and I see the peeking around and pulling the tire of the bike in more. Well when I get to the front of the store I had called the cops ands was waiting for them in front of the building and I see them take off down the street the older on about 25 or so riding the younger one on the handle bars looking back at me pedaling hard. Well the police are there in about 2 minutes after they take off (they had to pass them) so the guards and I give them a piece of paper with the description and send them off after them. I go in and plan to sit down to eat and about 5 minutes goes by when I hear every one up front saying they got them. I leave my office and go up to the door and low and behold the cop car is at the light in front of the store with the bike in the back and the younger guy in the back, I look to my left and I see another cop car pulling up to the store, so I go over to speak with him and he goes good job the older on had a gun and was planning on stealing your car or robbing the place we have not found out yet. Well just another day in PA Upper Darby.
