At this point you should get that 3" dp for the stock turbos. Or are you doing a turbo upgrade too? You need a new cat anyways. Looks like you are doing as much work as I did. These trucks are a pain. Now my Power steering is leaking on my x-over and making a bad smell.

Don't use any gaskets, atleast thats what I learned from this.

OK back to highjacking my thread back
How the hell do you get this braket off to get the manifold off? Do you have to pull the power steering pump off to get the braket out of the way? If so chalk one up for PAS and another great job engineering this setup

Sorry dude, this is not a P.A.S. deal. This is standard madness on all 4.3L and is GM insanity all the way. You gotta pull the P/S pump pully with the special puller then pull every thing else. Now...... if you hold your mouth just right, stand on one foot, fight it long enough and tweak it just right (read pry / bend)...... you can get it out. If you ever plan on doing this more than once, just get the puller / installer kit. Trust me it's worth it on the second time that bracket has to come off  . BTW if you try to use any other type of puller, chances are you will either damage it getting it off or screw the pump up trying to press / hammer it back on (don't ask how I know this) !

you will NEED a puller

Yeah I found it, my dad had stuck it in the wrong spot. This is the old thread, it was supposed to just look at my plugs and got out of hand, thats why I started the new one about the motor.
