Lost to an LS1

It's never enough
I'm heading back from Brother's in downtown Minneapolis with a buddy after a laid back night of shooting pool and checking out the girlies when I see headlights in the rearview commin' up on me quick.

I could tell from the headlights that it was an F-Body ::thumbsup:: so I skooted over to the right lane to let him pass...I'm steadily doin 60 or so and the guy just downshifts to third and sits next to me for about a 1/4 mile revving and whatnot until I finally hit it after contimplating for a minute...

Well, I had been working on the Ty for about 5 hours prior with my old man putting in a fairly used, but newer TD0-6 (which I purchased from spooldup) So I was trying to be somewhat nice to it before this guy came along.

This guy just won't let me go, and I'm like "Oh cool man, yeah let's run from a 60mph punch" I'm no dumby I mean obviously this guy SHOULD beat me. But I gave it a whirl.

So I hit it while I'm sitting at about his rear bumper and I hear him nail it and grab fourth. I WAS slowly realing him in until he hit fourth and put a good two cars or so on me, this whole time I'm hearing nothing but his loud-ass pipes just like "Oh well."

My dad's got a modded '00 LS1 that runs 11's so you really think I wanted to tango with this guy??

But whatever, I had to test the waters a little bit and see what he had. I REALLY wanted to follow him when he got off and ask him if he wanted to run from a stop! It might have been a different story. 8)

Good effort but a brick in the wind is always at a disadvantage. What do you think you'll trap with the newer TD0-6? 105 maybe, or higher? Stupid LS1s and highway punches. The best is when they blow their tires up on a dig and you put 5 cars on 'em.

Yeah I knew he'd wax me but it's all good, it was still fun. Wish I would've followed him.

With the newer TD0-6 I'm hoping for somewhere inbetween 100 and 103mph. I don't think it will really make that much of a difference. But I'd also like to run with the racing chip at 21lbs w/ 110 octane. I have yet to test that out. I'm currently running 17lbs of boost with the "street racing chip".

Don't ask what kind of chips the guy gave me with the truck casue I don't have a clue. There are three different chips all running different setups. I should give him a call actually.
