I been on here for ever reading about evething, Over the last 10 year or longer ive changed on what i wanted when it comes to the typhoon.. first i wanted a lower mileage nice car, do all the usual bolt on's and shoot for the 11's, after a lot of advice from you all on what was real goal and real money i decided i didnt want that.. i then layed low for a few years and played with other cars. The bug struck again but i thought about getting a Real low mileage stock TY, leaving it stock as just a nice clean low mileage car for the garage to hang out with the other toys. After looking at a lot stuff i decided that the money and the low miles would not be what i wanted in a long run and paying the high dollars for a 5-8K mile truck wasnt me.
Fast forward a few years and now im itching for another one..
what im thinking is a high mileage cheap ty, then doing a motor, trans, transfercase swap... Ive read some post on here about doing it but not sure how hard it really is. we have done a few LS swaps, in other cars and its pretty straight froward.. So what im thinkning is a salvalge 07+ denali or esculade. convert all of it, motor, ect, trans, transfercase, etc might even try to fit the axles under it as well if they are not damaged..... then a good size singe or smaller set of twins.
any thoughts or i suggestions, .
