uhhh.... yeah....
anyone ever used it on there syty? i know a guy here in town that builds them and he said he would help install it and ture my sy. jim (parish) the blue 03 turbo truck has it and he loves it, i've talked to him about it afew times and it sounds good. im putting one on my 90 454ss. thanks for the input.

I say go for it... From everything I have read its quite nice for what it costs to get into it... Just make an adapter to your existing 749 harness so that you can go back should you encounter any problems...

I am considering this route. They now have MS II which now has the ability to control your ignition as well as your fueling.

Certainly seems like a nice option for those who don't want to dump 2k into a FAST setup.

I know parish (the guy with the turbo'd 6.0 ls1 truck was running this and has run in the 10's. It must be a good setup. Most of the Omaha guys are running it.

This is a very interesting option. I would go FAST but $2k is entirely out of the budget. Something like this is a very viable option. Who has it with the Sy/Ty so I can find out how well it works and how easy it is to setup initially and tune.

Also, can I get a big 'Meg Squirt' bumper sticker to sport??

Seriosuly though, who thinks of these names? I want to check into it but then just realized I would have to tell people I'm running the MegaSquirt.

I'm seriously considering going this route, not for the price but for the flexibility to have features not in the other systems currently.

i'll tell ya what... if i ever go efi on my camaro i'm gonna do a megasquirt. my son has one in his conquest we just built and is just finishing up with the unit that will control spark. so in effect he can control fuel and spart for just a few hundred bucks. and i mean 'few" the screen look nice and i hear it works. he built it him self with the help of lenny on this board. jasons screen name is substock. i would think he has the most experience with it. anyone interested should contact him.

i know lots of guys here in omaha are using it, i think thats what im going to do rather than buying a chip or anything. i can have it installed and tuned for 600 bucks.

Mega squirt is very popular on older european cars. They dump the old bosch jet-tronic, l-tronic and go this route. I post a link soon.

My budy has it on his conquest. He got a intake manifold form somewhere out of the country so it has port injection insted of the tbi. He has also installed the ford edis igntion system, and all of this is ran on the old megasqurit system. He has a large turbo and the megasquirt computer has a built in map sesnor that is good to like 1.5 bars I belive, and you can adapt a gm 3 bar if you want. We run a motec on our formula sae car up at the school I am going to and he says the the megasquirt is 10 times more user friendly than the motec. I have only heard good things about it for anyone who has used it. I am going to be installinig it on my Fiero to start out with and get use to it, and the megasquirt will run the motor the same as the stock ecm runs but I will be able to tune it and install a turbo.

Also if you are afraid of not knowing how to tune with a stand alone computer MS offers a program for FREE that will take your info from dataloging and will process it and will help make adjustments to tune you car in. The best part about it is that there is alot of people runing it with a lot of experience and they give there software and advice away for free.

Wow... this deal sound almost too good to be true. Having the ability to tune yourself at the cost of an Ultimate chip... what else does this bad boy do?

yeah the guy that would be installing it knows a shit ton. he did, and helps with parish's truck.

Wonder if this can be used to scrap the dist ignition and go to LS1 coils? I see different options but since nobody has done this on our application specifically I'm a bit concerned about jumping into this.
