missing motor

So I'm running out of potential cures for this overall miss in my motor. By overall I mean when it happens, all the cyls. seem to go wacko @ the same time. It only happens under load, like getting into any boost. If I keep my foot in it some it will do some nasty back-fires too. It used to require higher boost, it gradually came down, now any will do it, but as soon as U lift, it stops missing.
First I thought it was the J&S unit. It's knock retard LEDs were randomly lighting up allover the display ,as opposed to climbing from 2deg & then going up. Really, it was showing what this feels like.
Anyway here's what Iv'e done, without any resolve. Disconnected J&S,new plugs, checked KB wires, new cap & rotor,New MSD coil, sent in DFI for repair. They found bad chip, something to do with MAP. Still missing, checked MAP, it seems a little low compaired to some graphs I found ,but is going up & down like norm.
That steel ring sheild thingy is really loose under the rotor.??

What else is there that's so load senseitive?
The FP base is 40 & climbs fine.

This motor is pretty new & not stock. It did run good for some time. Good enough to make 391 RWHP & 650 tq. @17lbs on the dyno.

It sure ain't fun to have a sy that U can't use any boost on.

It really sounds like it's your ignition system, judging by all the nonsense that has been installed/removed/messed with.

I know that doesn't help too much, but you have the classic symptoms of ignition problems, and all of your ignition system has been screwed with.

I'd start from scratch, check all connections, grounds, go back to stock parts, make sure your wires are good (yes even new wires, or freshly installed wires will do this). Most times, aftermarket replacements will *cause* problems rather than solving them (aka MSD or Accel parts).

definately sounds like secondary ignition. I would remove the J&S, and do new plugs/wires. Most of the time the wires will look fine, but have broken down over time internally due to the high heat.

let me know if you find the problem. I'd appreciate it
