More money than sense

I am going to upgrade my Typhoon's suspension and brakes. I'm looking for opinions on what would be the best direction for me to take. I want to use the truck as an everyday driver. I plan to wind up with a slightly upgraded power train. I'd like to do 0 - 60 in five seconds. I want good handling and a good feel of the road. budget is not a concern. what systems and parts would you go with?

Thanks,

Belltec rear sway bar,KYB monomax shocks,98-02 camaro Ls-1 frt &rear disks and poly bushings for the front sway bar, jeep steering shaft would'nt hurt either.

I'll third on the coilover. I do not have it on my truck but it is on the top of the list for upgrades. Torsion bars are a dated technology and if you look at our trucks the factory basically lowered the 4x4 suspension package off of a regular Jimmy. I am not saying that it doesn't work but if budget is no issue it cleans up the underside of the truck and adds to the fine tuning ability of the suspension.

Coil over's will also fix the ball joint issues. If you already have 17" wheels the corvette brakes are nicer looking than the LS1 style. Set back blocks or new leaf springs will make a decent difference, since your springs are currently over 20 years old. All bushings, should be replaced. Steering shaft should be rebuilt or replaced. Zq8 steering box should be swapped in. Every moving part in the suspension should be looked at and probably replaced.

Thanks for all the suggestions! How about the rear suspension. Anyone have thoughts on mods for that?

Thanks again,

Re: More money than sense

for rear suspension, belltech drop leafs (it will give a normal looking stance and firm up the ride). QA1 or bilstein shocks. Belltech rear sway bar.
