Not much to say here but i met some guys at the local "hangout" they saw i had a Ty and said i should atleast goto some late night street races cuz peopel would want to see it
so i went and the people who knew what it was thought it was cool

the ricers didnt and when the guy i met said "anyone wanna race a stock blazer" they all laugh and lined up
1. early 90s honda prelude Beat him twice, he lost once, then witched drivers ( like that would help) and lost again
2. 80s camaros not sure what all was in it but it was slow as all hell
3. 300zx TT the race thought i couldnt touch him ended up he couldnt touch me
4. some honda civic HB with a motor swap h23 i think ( i know nothign about japanese motors) beat him in the 1/4 but apparently he wanted to run em like a mile cuz he kept going past the markers
5. Eclipse GSX not much to say turbo AWD vs turbo AWD i got the better of him

all in all i made a nice lil impression and i think the ricers will lay off for awhile now that they know what a typhoon is

The suggested upgrades is a good place to start. Most of those thing there are easy to do yourself for free or with just a minor part at an auto store.
I know there are a lot of Syty guys in CA. One of them would surely be able to give you a test on datamaster to make sure your truck is running fine.

One of the worst things to happen, specially when you are on a limited budget, is for you to damage your engine due to knock.

one question though.. how bad did you beat the 300zx TT by? I have a local here talking smack with a pretty stock TT so he says.. im gonna bust em bad infront of his boys and just wondering how bad :)

he was done almost before it started
i felt a lil bad because before i race him and everyone else wanted us too i "acted" timid about racing him and lilke i was scared he might beat me, talk about a smashed ricer ego

Glad to see someone around my age actually picking a decent ride (and not trying to take a grocery getter and make it into some comical looking pos).

you guys should check out my pre typhoon project, its on cardomain only as skanave not a ty but it will be a tire burner when im done with it

HAHAHAHAHA!!! I just spent the greater part of a half hour reading those comments on the cardomain site. Reminds me of this guy I ran into at Hooter's the other day with all my racing buddies.

"Yeah, they run 8s from the factory."
"More like 10s"
"No! They run 8s stock. I've got one and it runs 8s!"
"In the 1/8-mile maybe..."
"No, in the 1/4 mile. You calling me a liar?"
"Yep. There's no way that's possible, sorry. You don't know what you're talking about."
"You wanna race me then? I'll prove it."
"Sure, what MPH did you run in the 1/4-mile?"
"120"
"Riiiiight... And what was your 60-foot?"
"Ummm, I didn't do the 60'...I didn't run that."
(Yelling to friends) "Hey guys. This guy over here has a stock Busa that runs 8s @ 120."
(Friends all die laughing, idiot leaves)

I wonder how many people he fooled before he ran into me? It's amazing how astronomically unreal people's stories have become. Too many people with 300 HP running 8s nowadays. :-?

You can propably tell by my name who I am on cardomain. There are way to many morons on that site that don't belive their POS "performance" car can be smoked by a 12 year old SUV. It's funny though.
