Wow sounds like we maybe able to do our own meet @ Atco ( Track Rental ) If we can get 15-20 cars lined up for going we can call and book a rental date. The cost is about $135.00 per car for the whole day from 9am til 430 pm no tech inspection ( this would work best for me since i know i will be on the limit ) Usually will be set-up for a weds thurs or fri if i remember from last year.
Let me know if anyone is interested in this option.
Money would have to be paid up-front and if it rains they would give us a new date.

I know at the track by me they wont let us run side by side at our track rentals, but Atco might let you do that. This should be fun to watch.
I hope you and everyone else runs in the high 10's that would be very impressive, good luck.

i am going to shot for mid 10s i have pretty much same combo as ralph just we have different turbos and heads. i have a bigger turbo but he has head work and i have stock heads. i am thinking i can push a 10.4-6 out of it with alky on and 20-24psi. i am always down for a track rental just got to be sure i can bring more then one car and only pay for one. i am bringing 2 to the gn track rental and only have to pay for one. that one should be in march or so.

ViciousV6 and Raist103 do you both plan on putting roll cages in your trucks? My truck has run 11.6 and I know New England Dragway will not let me run faster than 11.5 without a cage for more than one run. I was just wondering what your plans were????

I have 2 chassis guys local that can do it but i don't wanna ruin the truck! Our trucks are mostly always going to be street trucks and to cut it up and put a cage in it will hurt the overall value of the term street truck! Most people wouldn't buy a brick to race @ the track.

yeah it is i dont think they have a date yet i think he said they should have a date by the end of the month or something.

and no i dont ever plan to cage another car or truck unless it is for race only. i have not run slower then a 11.4 in the last 6-8 times out in the gn and no one has said a word the trick is to only make 1 run every 1 1/2 or 2 and make it a total of no more then 3 or 4 runs make sure to keep one 1st or 2nd closest to the 11.5 mark. this has worked at 3 tracks.

i just slam on the brakes after the 1/8 to stay around the 11.5 mark at like 75-80mph since i agree about the cage theory as i dont really want to get one either

Personaly I can't wait for the day to come when they tell me I need a cage! Generally speaking most people have the same attitude towards them, as in not wanting to hack up their vehical to install one. Any time I see one in a street driven vehical it seems pretty cool to me because they probably need it for a reason.

I just hope it wont be too much trouble to change those pesky headliners that like to fall down with a cage in the truck.

Yes but if you run your car on the street here with the big boys and have a cage it's concidered a race car, not a street car :cowboy:

Must be it. Here they want a car or two spot becasue then they know atleast how fast it can be with a cage. they know it is 11.5 or faster. Without you can say it runs 12.0 or so. Street Lying just like on "Pinks" my car only goes 11.5 but yet pulls the wheels goes sideways and leaves the other guy in the dust. WOW! must of had a burst of energy that round.

Hey ralph Ive been trying to get ahold of MPE for a set of headers and cant see to get them on the phone. The # on there site is not working and the seem to be not listed. You got any pull over there! I need a set of those headers there sweet. Any help you can provide be great. BTW your trucks looking good!!!!! But mines better LOL.

yeah is is in the middle of a shop change and something about the local area changed and closed his number he is getting a new one soon, see my tread for pics of his headers and a/a on my ty as well.
