Re: my small project

spent some time today. Man this is going slow. Was able to clean off both block surfaces, cleaned the pistons (real happy how it came out) and put on the new oil pump, closed up the lower half and put the timming cover, balancer and water pump on. Soon as I figure out what to do with the head bolt lube I will do the heads. :D

Re: my small project

How about a coil over front suspension, belltech rear leafs, belltech sway bars, and some wheels/tires  That should be another pretty penny! :rotf:

Re: my small project

Hint to everyone. When you ship out an item. wrap it in plastic so the popcorn does not get into it. I spent 2 hours digging out popcorn in my heads. I hope I got it all.

HIT A WALL. got one head on and I realized the rocker posts are to large for my rockers???? Guess I need new posts or rockers. :(

Re: my small project

WOW this turned into a project....I commend you doing it all yourself. The first page said taking off the stock turbo was the most you had done by yourself....now look at you!!!

BTW, how does that RPM a/a look? Can you still use the ac and all that?! ---

Re: my small project

guess I have come a long way. I have had great help from Roy, Branden, Jeremy, Steven, George, Mike lee and you guys here.

The a2a is nice. You can keep the AC. You just have to run electric fans or get the rpm spacer kit. I have a spacer kit for sale if anyone needs it btw. just pm me. There should be some pics of it here.

Re: my small project

black z06's are in the works. Should have them by the time my truck is running. 17x9.5 all around. I just have to find a cheap place for tires.

   Black wheels.....I guess they look ok, but everybody has them. You're not even going with the big meats out back either??!?! AH!!! Just save up longer and get the whole set that you'll really be happy with, not just the cheapest set. Or maybe you like those black 17x9.5's... :dunno:

Re: my small project

I think you would have to mix-match it up. Like a 18x10.5 in the rear and 17x9.5 in the front. Polished!!! That would look sweet, just get the tire sizes right and you'll be fine
