Very nice work!

I just would like some sort of traction device that cannot be seen. Then, a full on sleeper IMO.

Going to a track soon?

Custom made lateral brace to keep motor and trans nice and straight under full pull.

Yes track date coming up....going to try for high nine second pass..truck has capability for 50 or so more hp...might have to turn up boost to hit nines... We shall see!

Re: My Syclone dyno pull

I forgot, but who was the guy that would buy junkyard 4.3's put them in their White Typhoon, & click off tens?

Used to do wheelies.

Was it Dean Oller (SP)?

...Never heard of this story before (though Ive been around since the earlier email list-90's):
  • Dean's was a black Ty, 2wd, wrenched by Lee Howie (so wasnt him nor Dana)
  • Could be Ivan (who had a white Ty and white Sy, and was a bit "different/unique", but neither pulled wheelies)
  • Several SyTy Shops did 4.3 engine swaps regularly (blowing them up racing) but
it wasn't advertised publicly (especially to get 10 second time slips for bragging rights)
So now you've got me curious, as I thought I knew (or saw) most of the faster trucks years ago (even traveling to most of the shops back then, since the green Typhoon ran low 12's stock and was considered fast by GM PAS standards, so we talked often).

-Might have a touch of alzheimer's so I' hoping someone else can help solve this riddle :D

I am pretty sure it was a white Ty & did crazy 2 wheels up & he ran junk yard engines & blew a few up.
Also pretty sure it was in the 10's, I have been around since 1999.
Last name was Oller, Ollar?

I can't remember for sure, but I do remember seeing those wheelies pics. Like Mike Lee wheelies!, But the White Ty looked a little more twisted in the launch, Mikes were nice & straight launches.

Yeah Dean Ollar had a white Ty - sold it over 10 years ago. Must be the guy you're thinking of.

....I did not know that (Dean had a white Typhoon). I met him, Lee Howie, and Dana many
many years ago and even "played" with their many other vehicles (GN's, Thunderbolts ect).
Below is pictures of when we were together...
