Hope this pic is clear enough to see... Keep in mind this is just a tack welded togeather 1st mock up. Keep in mind the bar/link is NOT chromemoly tubing. Its an alum broom handle I hacked up (need to buy a new broom now... ) to use and the rod ends are cheapys NOT the kevlar lined high carbon steel ones Im gonna use.

Thoughts on wheather it will work or not are welcome. If you see something that I might need to change lemme know.

Nahh.. Aint tryin to compete with Al. His suspension stuff is NICE!! BTW, the jack stands are just outta the pic to the right. No crawling around under myclone without stands for me... not with my luck anyway.

After a couple of emails Ive received I think I need to clear something up.. The "broom handle" bars are just for mock up purposes only. Its the only thing I had that I could use that would come close to the diameter of the actual chromemoly tubing that Im gonna use for the final deal. Im not trying to make traction bars outta cleaning equipment.

If you ever decide to go ahead and sell a few, let me know. I'm really into guys doing their own stuff, but I can't weld like you gifted people can.
BTW my Typhoon is stock height in the rear, would that cause problems with the setup like you have?
Thanks,
George Blake

I dunno bout sellin em. Well, not in a way to make a living or anything. I wanna do some durability testing with the ones I made before Id want them on someone elses truck. Hell, they may make the truck launch worse than it already does.. Hafta take myclone to the track and see.

As for working with a stock height truck... I dunno. To be honest with you I think the "real" cal tracs would be better on a stock height or lowered withOUT blocks truck. The "instant center" geometry is better on theirs for that. I made my own cause I dont want the rear bracket hanging below the rim lip and I didnt care for the way the pivot mechanism/bracket worked in the front.
