Need a new Turbo???

My turbo is blowing oil and is missing some chunks on the inlet side. It is also making some "sirenlike" noise and has a little play both ways. When I first heard it I thought I was getting pulled over. but there was no cop. It was fine until I replaced intake manifold gaskets. Leaking across the valley. Then I noticed the boost was a little weak then all of a sudden this. Shopping for a new turbo or a kit to rebuild if it is worth my time. Any suggestions. I am daily driving this TY but like to get inot it every now and then. Also I am looking for a "drop in replacement. I do not want to do ANY fabricating. I do not have the time or the place to do that right now. I am in the inbetween apartment and all I have is a driveway. I hate buying houses.

You could wait for a good used one to pop up on the forum. They usually run for $200.

RPM and Jwaller sell an upgraded direct replacement as well if you're looking for something a little better than stock. All depends on what you are willing to pay. You can also do as Rookie suggests and check the "parts for sale' section, good used ones pop up periodically...

thanks guys. I will check these out. Hopefully one will pop up sooner rather than later. I think I remember seeing one not too long ago on here. Maybe it is still there.
