i think these should be first... IMHO
Engine Tie down ( for many reasons )
aftermarket boost gauge.
KB intake or similar.

but i would get a Data cable and do some DM recording before you do anything, and keep an eye on it as you start changing things running DM between mods.

Re: Needt Combo advise

I would think a 70mm turbo would be awful big for the stock converter.

I forgot to say I have a boost gage and fuel psi gage too.

Yea I bet the converter is not going to be the best for the turbo but i have the turbo.

X2 and its going to be to big for a mostly stock truck.Im going to use around a 62mm on a built motor looking to make around 550 or 600.

Ok so what should I be doing?

I am planning to build a highly modified motor down the road just looking for a little more right now,

I hate to tell you but i would get a 60 something mm.I just dont see you being able to spool that turbo without a lil help form some nitrous. The bigger the turbo the slower the spool time so you need to find a happy medium. If i were you id just breakdown and by a kit from rpm that allready comes with the downpipe, turbo, and external wastegate. Also he kind of gives you an idea what the turbos are going to run time wise.

It's just a six

Re: Needt Combo advise

To spool the turbo, it all depends on what A/R is on the turbine housing.
What is the A/R on the turbine housing?
Is it a straight T4 turbo, T3/T4 hybrid ?

What size engine did you buy the turbo for?

Do they also supply some type of tune or chip? It didnt mention anything about it. I also noticed they have a stage 3 kit that comes witha 70mm turbo.... I wonder if they could point me in the right direction of a converter? If I could used the turbo I have then I could have the cash to get a converter.

Re: Need Combo advise

or a 4.8 ;) your best bet is sell the kit you have, and buy the correct parts for the times/power you want produced. There is no using trying to make something work when it was not intended for this application. not saying it could not be done, but is it worth the hassle?
