My problem is my truck feels like it has power and runs good but will only pass a 13.6@96 in the 1/4th. Here are my modifications sence it was stock.

Ultimate chip- ran 13.6 with T1-17 with good boost control
3-bar Map
Accufab AFPR- base fuel pressure set at 55
Walboro 255
2800 Stall 12inch W/lock-up switch
KB Air Intake
180 thermostat
new fuel filter
new jacobs wire's,autolite plugs gapped .035, conrad cap and rotor.
3inch side exuast with no cat and 3inch conely race muffler.
4 bf drag radials.

Anything else i should try? Used 98 octane on that pass, can not get anything better then a 13.6

Thanks for your advice'

Does anyone think my 2800 Lock-up stall is to much for the stock turbo, so there for not giving me any top end, becuase thats what it seems like the truck is lacking alot of, it pulls so hard off the line untill about 3rd and it doesnt realy pull hard at all. I got an 8.2 in the 1/8th and a 60 of 1.76 WTF. Does Anyone know if i could upgrade the turbo without getting the Ultimate re-programed. I want to use the biggest turbo i can with stock injectors. Wich one would you reccomend a te44?

Thank you'
Erik

Jacob's wires suck
use NGK UR5, UR6 or AC CR42TS
use a 160 thermostat

race in D

use a scan tool

read the FAQ before you post questions

Typical Ricer move.

I dont have an ego Issue, Its just typical you would use that response when you are caught up and have nothing else to say.

How old are you?

Kinda funny that you would lie about your times to try and make a Fool of someone, you should of just been like some of People that had responses worth reading, Then maybe You wont be a BALL HANGER.

Oh by the way, I could help you with your issue, but ill just keep my EGO and Oponion to myself.

Thank You And have a nice day.

Erik, if I recall correctly, you had the DataMaster but sold it shortly after obtaining it. If not, can you send me your current DataMaster runs? Something has to be going on here, I managed a 13.36 on my Sy with medium knock retard (avg 4 degrees) and 0.5 PSI launches on 10 year old bald tires and that's with the stock chip, turbo and torque converter!

I am gonna say above all else, try Taylor Spiro Pro wires ($32.99 custom set at Summit, see http://www.sytyauthority.net for part #), and try NGK UR5 (or UR6) spark plugs at .035-.032". I GUARANTEE RESULTS!

Glad to see you are a convert tooky. 2 months ago you would have bitched and moaned at any suggestion that a good ignition should be aquired...

Erik, If you dont have a scan tool, how about seeing if a local could pop one on and see if you are knocking? Fuel filter, ignition components and vacuum lines are some of the more common failure points.

Ah ya my problem, Simply the wrong plugs and wires, and plugs not gaped right. 3 of my plugs read 40 and the other three read above 35 and below 40.

Lesson learned:
1. Never drink beer while doing a Tune-up
2. Never use Autolite plugs w/ Jacobs wires

Well recently i've done Holley wires, CR42TS's gaped 35 and a 160 thermostat. Also removed EGR system and used a Block off plate.

im going to the track soon to see how the new tune up does. Ever since i've done the tune-up the truck seems so much more powerfull, so im sure i was getting alot of KR. I wish i had a scan tool to see how much KR im getting.

Hey Erik!! After finally reading this post, I am dying to hear how your trip to the track went with your truck in new tune!! Did you make it out there? My apologies if you already posted your results in a new thread.

I went to the 1/4th track and made one pass after having my 02 replaced and running T1-16 with 49psi base. Well got a good launch but it fell on it's face with 10psi of boost. cruised the rest of the way down the track and went back to check my vacume hoses and sure enough my vacume T where i had hooked up my boost gauge to the map sensor had a serious lose hose. Well went home and used some smaller hose and zip tied um up and it fly's. Well im so surprised with it's performance, im going back this sunday to test it out. I've got the FP at WOT running awsome and im going to test T2-17 with 104 octane at the track. Im using 116 leaded mixing it with 93 pump gas. I'll let you all know how it goes.
