hello,
Well what can I say, it hasn't been that good of a day. Took the syclone to my parents (about a 22mile drive), It's basically a straight shot down a four lane highway. I took a detour and went by a friends house and got on the truck a little bit (took it up to about 85/90) and then let off and promptly returned to regular cruising speed (55mph). I came up to a stop sign to get back onto the four lane and continue to my parents house. I normally accelerate at 1/2 throttle when regularly driving. Well, the truck started to buck some, so i let off to where I was just barely accelerating (about 1/4throttle). I made it to my parents and visited for a little bit and limped the truck home (read at 1/4th throttle).
the problem in a nut shell: The truck bucks if you try to go much more then 1/4th throttle. The factory boost gauge (which normally reads around the -15 when regularly cruising down the road without throttle or with bare minimum throttle to maintain speed) is now reading at around the 0 mark, and the bucking starts at around 3/4psi on the factory gauge. The truck has an aftermarket Air-To-Air intercooler (The Kenne-Belle one).
Am I right in assuming that i have some sort of leak in the intake track somewhere between the turbo and the throttle body, and would this be a logical assumption to make since the intake system is now at atmospheric pressure?
Thanks and any help will be appreciated,
Sean
