Hey everyone !! Don't own a Syclone or Typhoon yet!! I'm heading to Edmonton tomorrow to look at a couple Typhoons, one is fairly stock, but has an issue, which I'm getting 3rd hand, the guy I've been talking to works for the owner and is passing along info, he says ... That the typhoon starts and runs good, but the tons drop off after 60. Now this being Canada u asked 60 kms or 60 mph he says kms, he then says there is an issue with the ring in the head .... ??? So I'm going to look at it anyway, the other one is heavily modified, all kinds of engine work, custom paint(purple) custom interior the whole thing, both have around 78,000 miles, none for sale here in Calgary.
Any ideas would be great!! Thanks guys!!!

I'm not a stranger to turbos, I do have a 1989 Turbo Trans Am, I know it's a different beast, but kinda gives me a place to refer from!!

Welcome.Your going to be thrilled with all the info and parts for these turbo trucks here..I'm out on the west coast in Canada.The info's been a big help and time saver for my ty..This will be a solid place to get feed back on a purchase..tj

Welcome to the board. We are familiar with the purple one, but I did not know of any with a hurt engine. Let us know how it goes.

Hey guys just got back to Calgary, didn't know the purple one sold till I was in Edmonton .... Oh well!! The Other one ..... Well it needs lots of work to be a nice truck, there is a bad cylinder , they were out on a test drive and the boost went to 30psi and then it ran bad back, so the owner did a compression test and one is low the others are 150psi, so basically it will need a refresh, not really want I want to do!!! He did do some work, Walbro fuel pump, adjustable pressure regulator, front drive shaft, boost gauge, pyrometer gauge and a piller pod, carpet is in need of replacement, seats could use a refresh, it has just over 127,000 miles on it, he has owned it for 10
Plus years.
So the hunt continues!!' So we drove for 6 hours for a cup of Timmies and a bagel!! :lol:

Well had a line on a 93 Black N Black with 41,000 miles ... Gone!!! Oh sigh!!:rant::rotf:

I have been emailing back and forth with him, I was wondering how much work it really needed, he says an AC recharge and valve seals. If he still has it when we come up for the Nationals, we were going to go look at it.

Its just parked in the corner of his garage.

That is all I recall him saying it needs, besides someone to drive it since he doesn't much anymore.
