New Mini Gates duel port configurable?

I want to buy one of the new Mini Gates (external wastegate) that Mike Lee is selling.
Does anyone know if this gate has the duel port configuration?
I would like to set it up like this.

I though as much thanks, Brian.
Anyway, I though if I asked the question generally so other would gain a little knowledge on the subject. These gates are obviously a great deal. I figured quite a few people would be buying one.

Since we have this as a FYI post..

if you put a line to just the SIDE port of the external gates, it will act like a single port actuator, like your factor actuator.

If you have a direct line from a boost source to the side port of the external, with NO solenoid or bleeder, it will give you BASE boost, or spring pressure.

Most all external gates have an adjustment screw on the top. This will adjust your base boost, in both single port and dual port mode.

To give you a better understanding of the dual port setup, if you have a regulator, as shown in the picture, and you CLOSE the regulator, the boost level will be your base boost, like you are just putting a direct line from boost to the side port. If you have the regulator completely OPEN, you will have max boost available, ie wastegate won't open to vent. Somewhere in between, via adjusting your regulator, is where you will find boost control. So start out with the regulator closed, and start testing, a turn or half turn at a time.

if you are using mechanical control (regulator/bleeder) you will want to run as high a base boost spring as possible, otherwise you may have the wastegate opening up early. For example, if you are going to run pump gas, 15psi, at the lowest setting, you'd want to run a 13-15psi base spring rather than a 4psi base spring. This will give you a higher range of boost control as well.

if you use an expensive, trick dual solenoid electronic boost controller, you *can* get by with a lower base boost spring, for maybe setting launch boost etc. The reason being is that the electronic control (IF it is a good one, ie Innovative etc) will put full boost to the top port to keep the wastegate forced shut for as long as possible for spool up, and is quick to respond to changing boost levels. Mike used this configuration on his truck, and had a switch to jump to high boost mode, kinda like hitting a nitrous switch. Great for street racing ;) Endless possibilities here- have a boost level set for launch boost, with switch set from the brake, have a switch setup to drop boost level if you hear knock, or see it with a gauge/scan tool.

You can check out Innovative by calling or going to the website. The website doesnt have much for info on the gate, port wise...

the mini gate is dual port config. Unlike the progate, it does not have an adjustment screw on the top to vary spring pressure. On the progate you could vary maybe 2-3psi base boost.

I have requested 10psi springs in all the gates (this is the highest they have at this time) Like BG mentioned, with an electronic controller the base boost does not matter, as the selenoid forces the spring shut. The manual bleeders do exactly what they sound like "bleed". So essentially they will bleed off boost ealier in attempt to stable the boost at the desired level. This results in slower spool up, less consistant boost, and day to day changes but it is cheap and easy to hook up.

For a serious racer, street racer whatever the Innovative controller is the way to go. It has a programable preset launch boost, and 5 other preset boost levels. So basically in our race syty applications we use a 2 step to get preset stage rpm, then the ITS controller to hold boost at say 4psi regardless of throttle position. Depending on turbo size, we may bring the ramp rate up or down to optimize traction. Once you get about 60 feet out you can hit the switch and activate more boost. If you are loosing keep hitting the "more boost" button till you catch up or you hear pennies inside your motor :)

With this setup you can control the way your truck launches and perfect your suspension, making changes until you maximize your setup. It is VERY difficult to monitor the tree, your rpm, your boost level, your brake pressure, etc all at the same time then take note and try and duplicate everything except for one thing the next run..
