Ok guys, got the last few issues taken care of for the track. I failed tech last week. They wanted me to install a seat back brace to prevent the seat from collapsing backward and the harnesses coming off in the event of major crash/rollover. I will post some pics later. I will be back at the track next week weather permitting....

Beautiful truck and awesome build!
Quick question. What inner and outer tie rod ends are you using and tie rod sleeve?

Enjoy it while it lasts :)

lol...I know, but I can always build another one. This one is kind of special though....Spoke with Mark Campbell recently, this was the last SyTy engine they built before Campbell Automotive became Morretto Motorsportz and Mark moved on to other things......

Alex, the tie rods and most all other front end parts are Moog. The tie rod adjusters are Ride Tech.....

Re: Newly rebuilt Ty 92 #0021

Well guys i'm in the middle of a midwinter Typhoon teardown and upgrade project with a goal of removing 100lbs from the truck and doing some performance upgrades hoping to hit 10.40s or so this coming season. I have run a best so far of 10.70 at 127mph @ 23psi.
I have done a complete ac delete and removed a bunch of other things that were adding unnecessary weight to the truck.
Performance upgrades include new fmic setup, custom race headers with 3 1/2" downpipe and full 3 1/2" exhaust from mike Lee at rpm. I am also going with a converted Edelbrock Lower intake with sheetmetal forward facing intake elbo. I will also be upgrading my injectors to 160s for this season, getting lighter wheels and tires in hopes to hit that 10.40 at 130mph+. Hoping to do this on my pte 6768cea ive been running, but if it runs out of steam I will upgrade.
Pictures will be up soon...

I still think this is the best color combo for these but it's just my opinion. Any way you do the black is ok too Mine has a black carbon fiber roof all else stock.(paint wise only)

Re: Newly rebuilt Ty 92 #0021

Ok guys, I've been making a bunch of changes to my stock block build over the winter. Here's some of my progress so far.

One of my goals was to take 100lbs off the weight of the truck while still keeping it a true street truck, the biggest weight reduction I have done over the winter is a complete ac delete since I have a 99% bone stock Ty to drive when it's really hot and have only been driving this one on weekends lately anyway.

I have also done some mods to make this thing easier to work on and hopefully make some more power without needing to turn the boost up much more than the 22psi i've been running.

Here are some pictures showing what I've gotten done so far..

Re: Newly rebuilt Ty 92 #0021

Also had RPM build me a set of remote turbo location headers with T4 flange, 3 1/2" downpipe and 3 1/2" exhaust that dumps out before the rear axle, v-band everything..(very nice pieces).

Re: Newly rebuilt Ty 92 #0021

I decided to stay with the PTE6768cea that I have been running, but I did upgrade to the bigger 4" inlet ported S cover and bigger .96ar turbine housing with T4 flange and v-band out. I sent the turbine housing to Jet Hot for 2500deg coating.

Re: Newly rebuilt Ty 92 #0021

I also went with a Edelbrock 2114 lower intake with a forward facing sheet metal elbow from Sportmachines. Thanks Tom!
I had the lower intake powder coated blk and decided to leave the sheet metal natural aluminum..
